Spring has Sprung, the Grass has Riz

I love spring.

I realize I'm not alone in this statement but I really love spring.

I love the same thing about spring as I do about winter. In winter, I want it to snow and snow and snow. I love snow. In spring, I can't wait until the snow's gone. And now it is, mostly.

Soon, I'll be able to bike to work. No more glares from bus-riders. No more standing there, waiting on someone else's schedule.

Soon, Nicholas will hit the soccer field and my indoor games will become outdoor games.

It's bright when I get out of the office now. I don't realize how much I miss sunshine until about this time of the year.

Everything's waking up and life is kicking into high gear.

YAY SPRING!

Consider me down with spring as well.

Living in the river valley affords me a wonderful area in which to bike, walk, make time, etc.

Ah yeah.

Make time?

You didn't tell about the upcoming bike!

I wanted to hold off on that until it arrived.

I love the fact I've gotta throw on the shades for the drive to work in the morning.

Yeah, it's bright before work, it's bright after work, it's warm, it's green, the snow will soon be gone enough to play soccer outside.

I'm excited.

Well, after the period following snow melt, when you wait for the wonderful slurry of mud, garbage, and freshly exposed canine fecal matter to fade away.

I can't wait! I'm going to buy another bike and ride it everywhere until it gets stolen (that's what happens with all my bikes)

Well, now that you live in a ritzy new neighborhood, at least you can go to sleep knowing that, whenever you come out to find that your bike has 'run away', at least some middle class white kid has stolen it, and not one of those drug addicted dark folk.

This is totally unrelated but you started the precedent. I just wanted you to know I got your comment and understand the delay with the Quicken software.

Sorry, for not responding sooner but I haven't had much energy lately with my stomach acting up.

elC: True, that.

Nothing better than chopping through the last remnants of the year's snow to put a composter in its place, finding that the "snow and ice" is more like 50% snow and ice and 50% dog-poopy.

Morrigan: Understood. I still haven't received the code for it yet. I might have to talk to someone in management about it because there's only supposed to be a couple of days lag and it's been more than a week.

Well, this rain should start washing most of it away.
