(Just for comparison's sake, Leftwich's quote would be "Pass me another donut." Or, perhaps, "I'm the starter, dammit, and stop making me earn it!")

Is Ahman Green in or out this week?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11536840.post-39234719437826560342007-09-27T11:53:00.000-06:002007-09-27T11:53:00.000-06:00Byron Leftwich is Gary Coleman.Byron Leftwich is Gary Coleman.Liam J.https://www.blogger.com/profile/05670587605642193711noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11536840.post-31163139617859979282007-09-26T23:45:00.000-06:002007-09-26T23:45:00.000-06:00Gary Coleman? AFC South is really proving to be a tough bunch to play against. They're undefeated against the rest of the league so far.

And yeah, Rod Coleman would have helped that defense in a whole bunch of ways. It's nice to see that Harrington isn't embarrassing himself either. Maybe he can keep Gary Coleman's newly signed ass on the bench.Liam J.https://www.blogger.com/profile/05670587605642193711noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11536840.post-38159354192692691202007-09-25T22:39:00.000-06:002007-09-25T22:39:00.000-06:00I think Jamaal Anderson would be producing more if...I think Jamaal Anderson would be producing more if a healthy Rod Coleman was tying up blockers next to him.

And actually, Denver's defense had been pretty solid overall in their first two games. I just really felt like gloating about Mathis' ability to completely shut down Javon Walker...and am doing so again.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11536840.post-91246284548378334732007-09-24T16:26:00.000-06:002007-09-24T16:26:00.000-06:00I was very disappointed with Kubiak. Dayne should play on Sunday and Green might. I think they need to start calling up some other teams for castoffs. I wonder if Detroit's looking to move one of their seven-hundred guys.

I hate the Jags, so their winning sears my soul. Fortunately, that doesn't look like it's going to be a problem. Hasn't everybody so far been able to run on Denver? Don't think that my hatred of Jacksonvile is any reflection on you, Cliff. I just don't like your team. I'm looking forward to that game but I can't wait to see what we can do against the Falcons. Jamaal Anderson is not as good as Amobi Okoye.Liam J.https://www.blogger.com/profile/05670587605642193711noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11536840.post-9697952931079668932007-09-24T15:33:00.000-06:002007-09-24T15:33:00.000-06:00I was impressed with your team. they certainly see...I was impressed with your team. they certainly seem to have a "Never say die!" attitude that was not there in the past. They've gotten some grit. That defensive line is starting to look VERY good, but I had issues with their secondary at the start of the year which have borne out so far. And losing Johnson and Green was just too much for an offense still seeking other playmakers. Still, not a bad performance at all against a damn good Colts team.

And the Jags kicked Denver's rear, which makes me gleeful (except when managing my fantasy football team, when I want cutler, Walker and Marshall to obliterate people). Rashean Mathis took Javon Walker out of that game. 2 catches for 10 yards! I was concerned the young safeties might be an issue (and even more concerned when one of them got hurt, and was replaced by Sammy "I wasn't fast ten years ago, and now I'm old as sanskrit" Knight), but the play from those positions has been good. And they did a good job against the run, even without John Henderson inside, further making it appear that ghastly run 'defence' of week one was a blip. And they can actually throw the ball half decently (though this week they got the ground game cranked up, which is good, because that still should be their primary method of moving down the field). Maybe this year isn't a total waste after all.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
